Go Halal Life is an accessible, WCAG-compliant directory app designed and built from the ground up to help Muslims discover verified halal food options with ease. The product was shaped through in-depth research, user interviews, surveys, persona development, and a seamless end-to-end design and development process.
The Challenge Muslims in the U.S. struggled to find reliable and trustworthy halal food options. Existing platforms lacked verified data, accessibility standards, and inclusive design, leading to a fragmented and frustrating user experience. There was a clear need for a solution that ensured accurate discovery while meeting ADA and WCAG accessibility guidelines.
Problem
Despite growing demand, Muslims lacked a reliable, accessible platform to find halal food. Existing directories were outdated, inconsistent, and not ADA-compliant, leaving users underserved and struggling to confidently discover authentic halal dining experiences nearby

We built a reliable, accessible platform for halal discovery. Simplified user flows, location-based filtering, and verified listings improved accuracy and ease of use. A WCAG-compliant design system ensured clear navigation, helping users confidently find halal dining nearby.
